I will be the first one to say that I am a horrible speller and my grammar is not always %100. So I am asking for your forgiveness up front. Please do not judge. We all have strengths and weaknesses in life. One of my major weaknesses is spelling and correct grammar when typing. Yes I know I am a teacher but at school I am on my toes about these things. This is meant to be a fun and POSITIVE adventure!!

FREE PediaCare Plus $1.00 Overage (on each box)

So its been awhile since I have been couponing. We have been using our "stockpile" and I have been sick. So today was the first day that I was really able to try and get back into the couponing groove. Before I start let me just say how much I can not stand to go to Walgreens!! Every time I go there something happens, they wont accept my coupons or they ring up my products for the wrong price. Well I wont go into detail because it would take forever but lets just say I could not get the formula for the price it was advertised in the weekly ad and they over charged me $3.83. I had Anneliese with me so it was kinda hard to catch since she was chucking her shoes at people in line. So this is what I ended up with today.
3 PediaCares and a box of Tampons.

Here is the breakdown...
PediaCare is on Sale for $5.99
Walgreens In Ad Coupon is for $5.00 off and
There is a $2.00 off coupon from coupons.com
This equals $7.00 off of $5.99 with a $1.00 overage

I did this deal three time because that is the limit on the Walgreens In Ad coupon. I had (3) $2.00 off and could use the $5.00 off 3 times. This left me with $3.00 overage. Walgreens with not pay you to shop at there store so I needed to find something else to buy. I had a $1.00 off Tampax coupon with me and they were on sale for $2.99. All in all my overage paid for my Tampon and tax because this really was FREE. I DIDN'T PAY A PENNY.

Sorry this is so short but I wanted to get this up before I go to the Tummy to Teen Consignment in Abingdon, VA tonight. Maybe I will see some of ya there!!

Happy Couponing!!!

Amazon Diaper Deal= AWESOME!!

I have been hearing about people getting GREAT deals on diapers and wipes on Amazon.com for a while now. I was not a real big online shopper until this Christmas and I may never go back to the "old' way of shopping. That doesn't mean I wont shop in a store. It just means that most of the time I will check to see who has the best available prices online or in the store and go from there. So on to the AMAZING diaper deal.....

I got these HUGE boxes
of diapers (408ct.) for $31.20 total. That comes to around $2.75 for a pack of jumbo diapers 36 count. To break it down a little further I basically got 11 packs of jumbo diapers for $30.00 plus a couple more left over.

There are a couple of tricks to getting this deal.
First I had to join AMAZON MOM. Its free for the first 3 months. After that each time you spend $25 before coupons you get another month extended to your AMAZON MOM account. You can keep extending your subscription every time you spend $25 up to one year. (Amazon Mom also qualifies you for Free Shipping) Next I had to find coupons. There were 20% off Amazon Diaper coupons in American Baby Mag. this month. You can pick up a couple of FREE issues at Babies R Us. I got 2 American Baby Mags. for the order I placed. Plus if there is a coupon out there for the diapers you are buying on Amazon it will pop up on the screen and you can check the box if you would like to apply it to your order. They had a $1.50 coupon that I used. I wish I could have used it twice since I bought 2 boxes but you could only use it once. Oh well beggars can't be choosers, right? Then I joined something called Subscribe and Save. Now this is where it gets tricky. When you join Subscribe and Save it will take 30% off you entire order but you have to remember to cancel your membership or they will keep sending you what you just ordered every month. You can join and cancel as much as you like, there is not limit. Just remember to cancel your subscription if you do not want to keep receiving what you just order every month.

Here is my receipt. I ordered 2 boxes of 204 ct. They were reg. priced at $40.88 a box. I ordered 2 boxes totaling $81.76. I then used the 30% off from the Subscribe and Save, (2) 20% off Amazon Diapers coupons from the American Baby Mag., and $1.50 off coupon that was on the Amazon website. All these coupons and specials combined equaled $50.56. That's a pretty good savings!! The icing on the cake is NO TAX!!!

I will def. be ordering from Amazon again if I can find these WONDERFUL coupons. I have also heard through the grapevine that once you order diapers from Amazon that they will send you $10.00 off coupons. That would have made this deal even better because you would be able to use it on top of all these coupons.

I hope this made sense. I was trying to talk to my hubby and blog at the same time. lol :)

Oh one more thing..... the 204ct Baby Dry are $38.33 a box at Sam's Club. That is the lowest price it could find them in a store. The major down side to Sam's is they do not accept coupons. :/ They do not the other hand accept Similac and Enfamil formula checks.

HAPPY COUPONING!!!

Johnson City Old Navy Deals

I was so excited to go to the Johnson City Old Navy today! I had racked up at The Kingsport store the other day and I was convinced they would have even more to choose from. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! They had nothing. :(   Their clearance section was slim to none. I had to search long and hard to find what I did. I was determined to find a couple of good buys to make my trip up to Johnson City worth it. So here is what I found.
This cute ruffle jacket. It looks really purple in the picture but its more of a deep plum color in person. It had been reg. $29.50 and I got it for $3.50. I thought that was a pretty SWEET deal.
Savings.. A MAJOR $26.00.
WOW I was pretty proud of myself for this one.  :)

I also got Annelise this play shirt. She needed some play shirts for the track sets that I got her from 77kids. If you haven't checked out that store, YOU NEED TO.77kids CLEARANCE I know I have said this like 100 x's  but it is my FAVORITE store for Anneliese. They had really cute winter clothes this year. Anyways the shirt had been $8.50 and I got it for $2.25. Normally I would not buy a shirt with this stuff on it but we are going to Disney in a couple of weeks and she needed a shirt to go under one of her track jackets. I don't think you will even be able to see the stuff on it just the blue collar when she has the jacket zipped up. At least that's what I was going for. I also got these AWESOME socks. Old Navy no show socks are my FAV. for my tennis shoes. I was so happy when I found these for Anneliese. They were reg. $6.50 and I scored them for $2.00 for a 4 pk. So I bought 4. I always buy socks in bulk to make matching easier. These will be her spring socks that she wears with her long pants. We will have to get her some no shows for her tennis shoes for summer. Savings in this picture....$24.25.

I would not suggest making a special trip out to the Johnson City Old Navy. Now if you were out and about stop in there. But there really is nothing great. I'd say by this weekend they won't have anything left. All of the sizes that were left were 6-12 months stuff. And a few extras here and there.

So my total before any sale would have been $64.50 I ended up spending...$13.75. Pretty good for things that we need right now.

SAVINGS ON THIS TRIP...... $50.25!!!! This trip I didn't use coupons. So don't stress if you do not have any. You still can save.

Happy Couponing!!

Bath Tissue and Paper Towel Haul

CVS has a deal going on this week SPEND $25 get $10 ECB back. The Limit on this deal is 2 per household. So pretty much spend $50 (before coupons) and get $20 ECB back. When I first started couponing I was told that "you can't be brand loyal." I had been holding out on my Viva Paper Towels and Cottonelle Bath Tissue (the purple kind). Well that has come and gone!! I have found that we are going through so many paper towels!! I just can't believe it. I was starting to feel bad for using so many of my "good" Viva paper towels. So I have started using Scott. They are not the softest in the world but hey they get the job done. I held out a little longer on the bath tissue. I just love my purple Cottonelle. The Extra Soft Scott is still not as soft but it's not "Tech Squares" either.
I also wanted to share with you something that I learned today. This deal is a GREAT example to use.
This week special is spend $25 get $10 ECB.
I completed 2 different transactions
In the first transaction I purchased (3) $10 items equaling $30 (not including tax). That total is $5 over the needed amount to receive the $10 ECB in the spend $25 get $10 ECB back. The $5 that I went over will transfer over to the next transaction in the same deal. That is why in my second transaction I only had to purchase $20.The computer will add the $5 from the 1st transaction to the second transaction equaling $25. On the second transaction I only spent $20 out of pocket (before coupons) and the computer added the $5 that I spent over on the 1st transaction = $25 so I could get $10 ECB back and only spend $20.
(This way before coupons you would only spend $50 instead of $60.) You can only do this if the limit is over 1 per household and its with in the same deal.

Here's the deal... I did two different transactions.
The first transaction was (2) bath tissues and one paper towel pack and (2) .89 Twix bars. I had (2) $1.00 off CVS Twix coupons so the Twix were a money maker. Other coupons I used on the first transaction were .. an 89 cent, $5, and (2) $10 ECB. One 75 cent off bath tissue and $2.00 off bath tissue and paper towels.

The second Transaction was a bath tissue and a paper towel pack.  I used my $10 ECB earned from the first transaction (this is called rolling) and another $2.00 off  bath tissue and paper towels. I received $10 in ECB back to use next week.
$2.00 of bath tissue and paper towels coupon
Below is my receipts...
(click on the pic to make it bigger)
All that to say 3 packages of bath tissue and 2 packages of paper towels for $9.14 before tax and $14.13 including tax. This is money spent out of pocket and does not include the ECB that I have to use next time.
 *SAVED $69.59*
I have $10 in ECB that I will use next week.
I think this is a pretty good deal.
Hope that all made sense!!

Happy Couponing!!!!

I wanted to say hey to Susie L.
She was couponing at CVS tonight too!!

Getting EXTRA CARE BUCKS to COVER TAX

So I have been trying to figure out how to get Extra Care Bucks from CVS to cover tax. If you follow online coupon blogs you may see that people from other states are coming out very little out of pocket. Some website will tell you a certain order to give your coupons so you can get the best deal possible. Most coupon blogs that I have found are composed out of state. The state that you are purchasing your items in will effect how you hand over your coupons and ECB. In Tennessee ECB can not cover tax if handed over last, but coupons can.
So I tried this out tonight. I gave my CVS coupon first (5 off 30) then my ECB and my coupons last. My total was 45 cents out of pocket. This will take some figuring out, it does take a little extra time. I looked at the ad before I left the house and knew that I was going to buy 7 FINISH. CVS had buy $20 get $10 ECB back. I knew I wanted to do that . My friend Amanda told me this morning that she got a $5 off $30. Well I didn't get it but I googled it and found it online. I printed it off and wanted to use it. I needed to figure out what coupons I had to use so I could have the least amount out of pocket to get to $30 before coupons. I had an Aussie buy one get one and a $1.00 off Aussie. The Aussie was on sale for 2.99 and I got two. I also had a $2.00 off Gillette coupon and the Gillette was on sale for $2.49. All of this added got my total to $29 something. The total had to be $30 without tax so I added the Twix. The Twix had an 89 cent ECB. This got me a little over $30.
*Side Note I had to go back and get something to add to my purchase while I was checking out because I was negative $1.13 when the tax was added. That's why I have the deodorant ($1.99)

Here is My receipt...
You can click on it to see it better :)
 I saved $63.92
Got back $10.49 in ECB

I hope this helps you out the next time that you going shopping at CVS. After you get home come back here and let me know what DEALS you SCORED!!

HAPPY COUPONING!!!

Coupon Order for Checking Out at CVS

I went to CVS tonight. I got 2 big things of Listerine Mouthwash and a tub of Similac formula. The mouthwash was on sale this week spend $10 get $5 back in ECB. I had a coupon for a FREE tub of formula ( coupon for $24.99) AND (2) $2.00 off mouthwash coupons. I also had a $5.00 Extra Care Buck that will ring up on my receipt as CVS MFR COUPON and a $2.00 Extra that will ring up on my receipt as CVS MFR COUPON.

My total before coupons was $40.52
Here is how the receipt breaks down

I wanted to mention the order I gave my coupons and ECB in. I gave my ECB first and then my coupons. If I had a CVS coupon like $5 OFF $25 I would have given it first. The reason for this is you have to have $25 before coupons to get this type of coupon to work. So anyways I gave my ECB first, so look at this receipt again. My total should have been $2.95 but where I gave my ECB first it put me into the negative that's why there is a negative sign beside of the $1.00 where it says subtotal. That negative dollar was leftover from my coupons. Coupons can cover tax ECB cannot. So the negative dollar was applied bringing what I owed from $2.95 down to $1.95. So ALWAYS give the CVS dollar amount off coupon first (if you have one), then your ECB and your Manufacturers coupons last.

All in all I spent $1.95, SAVED $38.57 and got back $6.00 in ECB for my next trip.

You see on my receipt where it says Green Bag Tag. Those are little green leafs that attatch to your key ring that are for sale for $1.00 at the front of the store. Every 4th time you scan it you get and EXTRA CARE BUCK. You can only scan it once a day, but it's totally worth it. Pick you up one the next time you are in CVS. Its FREE MONEY!!

I wanted to thank my "COUPONING BFF" Cayci for coming along for the adventure.

HAPPY COUPONING!!!

Swagbucks= Amazon Gift Cards YAY!!

Have you ever used Swagbucks before?? If not or you are wondering what in the world I am talking about you can click on the link above to get more info. Pretty much in a nut shell it is a search engine that rewards you for using their site. I am not a crazy obsessed Swagbucks person, some people are. I just use it when I remember to. Over the period of I would say six months I earned a little over 1500 Swagbucks. That's not that much considering there are more ways to earn Swagbucks than just using them to search the internet. But that's how I earn mine.
So I wanted to share with you how I "cashed" in some of my Swagbucks. The Swagbucks store has an ok assortment of gift cards you can choose form when you decide to "cash" in your Swagbucks. I decided the only thing that I could really ever see myself using was an Amazon gift card. Until this Christmas I was not an online shopper. Boy was I missing out!!! I feel like there is so much more out there online. You can get the gift cards in different dollar amounts, I decided to go for the $5.00 Amazon gift card. They are 450 Swagbucks a piece and it takes almost 2 weeks to be added to the gift card section of your Swagbucks tool bar. My advice is do not try to cash in your Swagbucks and order right away. Just a little heads up, I didn't know that and was kind bummed when I had to wait a little to use my Amazon card.
The Swagbucks were finally posted to my account after what seemed like forever, I know I am very impatient. So the next question was what am I going to spend my gift cards on. Well over Christmas break Anneliese perfected rolling over both ways on the floor. But for some reason when she was in her bed when she would roll over onto her belly and could not get back over. She would scream until we went into her room and flipped her back over onto her back. David and I were getting up like 5 and  6 times a night for a week. So one night I got out a Carter's wearable blanket that she had and put it on her to see if it would help and it did. I could not believe it, putting her in a wearable blanket did the trick. No more flipping her over in the middle of the night YAY!! There was only one problem she was almost too long for the Carter's wearable blanket that we had for her. I ended up buying her a Halo sleep sack from Amazon. These retail in stores for a little over $25.00. I did some research and decided to go with the Halo Deluxe Velboa Sleepsack. It is not too hot or too cold. I love the fabric it kinda feels like minky dot fabric but with out the dots. I cashed in my $15 in gift cards and my total came down from $21.99 to $6.99. I am a member of AmazonMom (its free) so I got 2 day free shipping. I was so excited to get a $26 Awesome sleep sack for $6.99. I would definitely recommend checking out Swagbucks.

Hautelook.com Without Coupons :)

So I order from Hautelook.com like 5 days before Christmas. I had never ordered from this site before but they had Urban Decay Eye Pigment reg. $22.00 for 2 bucks a piece. Yes that's right only 2 bucks a tube. I had never used eye pigment before but for 2 bucks I didn't think you could go wrong. My friend Katie P. uses Urban Decay products all of the time. She had always talked about how great they are so I thought for that price I would give it a try. I ordered 7 eye pigments and 1 lip gloss. I spent $16.00 and SAVED $140.00 :)

So as soon as UPS came by I came inside and started opening the package. I had ordered 2 of the white and gave one to Kaylin. Thats why I only have 6 bottles in the pic. The colors I got are AMAZING!! I got X (that's the name), YEYO, BAKED, GUNMETAL,SHAG, and SMOG. The lip gloss which it to die for is called JOYRIDE. This is what they look like on. This is yeyo, baked, and smog on my eyes. The tube of eye pigment is very unique it comes with it's very own brush. The brush is built into the top of the cap. I thought this made things a lot easier when putting the pigment on. I am not too sure if you would be able to get an eyeshadow brush into the tube. I am leaning more towards not being able to get one in the bottle. I watched a couple of tutorials on youtube on eye pigment. The one common thing that everyone said was use a primer. I have the Urban Decay primer but I really like Smashbox primer too. I hope that Hautelook.com offers this great deal again so you will be able to get some of this great make-up.

Bath and Body Works SALE

This is what was waiting for me when I came home form my CVS trip. I was so excited!! I got 3 Coco Cabana Sprays,3 lotions and 9 Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin foam hand soaps. I am usually not big on having to pay shipping, to get this it was $7.99 not so hot. But I love this lotion and body spray. It reminds me of when David and I first started dating in High School and you cant get in in store you have to order it online. So my grand total for all of this was $31.00. That's like $2.00 an item (with shipping included) not too bad for lotion, spray and soap that I LOVE.

I also had these cute boots waiting on me. Yes I know they look HUGE I wear a 9.They are EMU. They were on sale last week on Amazon for $29.96 down from $98.00!! That's a $68.00 SAVINGS!! CAN I SAY AWESOME!! They are so comfy and fit perfectly. I would def. recommend them if they come on sale again. Oh that brings me to what I wanted to tell ya about Amazon. They have a program called Amazon Mom. When you sign up you can get free 2 day shipping if your item qualifies. The way you can tell if your item can be shipped using Amazon Mom is if it has a blue check underneath it with the words prime. I love Amazon free shipping, awesome deals and NO TAX!!!

HAPPY COUPONING!! :)

EXTRA BUCKS UPDATE

So I just got back from CVS and I am not so happy :( I want to clear this  up for you all so this will not happen to you. Usually you can use you ECB towards tax. Well if you have ECB from your quarterly spending you can not. I just got off of the phone with corporate to try and clear things up. She said that if you have ECB and have earned them from shopping in the store those ECB can be used toward you total including tax. Well I was using the ECB that I earned from the quarterly spending so I couldn't use it for cover tax and I would have lost 4 dollars plus haas to pay tax if I used my $9.50 ECB from the quarterly spending. So I had another $4.00 ECB that I had earned last week so I used that. All in all I had to pay $3.13 all this was tax. I don't know if you know this or not but you get taxed on the ENTIRE amount BEFORE coupons. I think it makes it kinda hard to figure out what your total will be. Oh well we have to pay tax, right? I guess I should not be too upset I saved almost $60.00 and bought 8 toothbrushes and 4 bottles of Excedrin and a free 8ct. of Excedrin P.M. I guess the saying is true... you really do learn something new everyday.

Oh Yeah I almost forgot.. I got back $15 ECB to spend next time or by 2/2/2011. So all in all a good trip for $3.13

HAPPY COUPONING  :)

CVS 1-3-2011

So a lot of people have been asking me how I shop at CVS and make/use Extra Care Bucks. I am no expert on this but here is what I have learned so far. When you buy something (with a coupon of course) that gives you Extra Care Bucks (ECB) you want to to use those ECB that you have earned and purchase items that will give you more ECB. For example today I have $9.50 in ECB that I earned from my last quarter spending. So I am going to purchase items that we need that will give me ECB. So to make the long story short I am using ECB and making sure I get ECB back. So today I will use $9.50 in ECB to pay for four 2pk toothbrushes and 4 bottles of Excedrin. The coupons that I have... (1) buy one get one Reach Toothbrush, (3) $1.00 off Reach Toothbrushes, (3) Free Excedrin and (1) $1.00 off Excedrin. The BIG COUPON that I have is a $5.00 off $25.00. The $25.00 is BEFORE COUPONS!!!

Here is the Breakdown....
Reach Deal Spend $10.00 and get $5.00 in ECB.
So I am going to buy four 2 pk Reach Toohbrushes this totals $12.00 I am going to use my B1G1, (3) $1.00 OFF. The total on this after coupons is $6.00. REMEMBER I will be getting $5.00 in ECB back.

Excedrin Deal Spend $20.00 and get $10 in ECB
I am going to buy 4 bottles of Excedrin this totals $21.96. I am going to use (3) Free Excedrin and (1) $1.00 OFF. The total after coupons will be $4.49 REMEMBER I will be getting back $10.00 in ECB.

Here is how its will look on the screen at
CVS TOTAL...
$37.19
-$5.00 OFF $25.00
= $32.18,

 $32.18
-$3.00(B1G1)
=  $29.19,

$29.19
-$3.00 (3) ($1.00 OFF)
= $26.18,

$26.18
- (3) (Free Excedrin)$16.47
=$9.71,

$9.71
-(1) ($1.00 off)
= $8.72

I am going to pay using $9.50 in ECB (try to get as close as you can to your the amount of ECB that you are going to use they will not give you  back what you do not spend)

To sum it all up I used $9.50 in ECB that I had earned before this trip. I used it to buy items that I NEEDED. In return I got $15 in ECB to use on my next CVS trip.

When you get ECB use them to buy items that will give you more ECB!!!

So I feel like I am cluttering people's Facebook wall with all of my coupon posting. So I am going to try something new. When I "SCORE" big at a store I am going to try posting it here. We will see how this goes. It may be a big flop! I will be the first one to say that I am a horrible speller and my grammar is not always %100. So I am asking for your forgiveness up front. Please do not judge. We all have strengths and weakness in life. One of my major weaknesses is spelling and correct grammar when typing. Yes I know I am a teacher but at school I am on my toes about these things. This is meant to be a fun and POSITIVE adventure!! I hope I find some good deals this week so I can post my first "SCORE" on here. See Ya Soon....Happy Couponing!!
